CASA Receives Nonprofit of the Year Award

Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) has been awarded the Nonprofit Organization of the Year from the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County.  The award recognizes nonprofit organizations that manage an exceptional volunteer program whose efforts have made a significant increase in the impact the agency is making to the community.

Advocate Tip:  Permanency Care Assistance

In some CPS cases, obtaining permanency for children does not involve reunification or adoption. For some children permanency can be achieved through the transfer of Permanent Managing Conservatorship to a kinship caregiver. For the kinship placements who are willing to care for children long term without adopting, the Permanency Care Assistance Program can be a viable option.
