Blue Sunday was a great success!

On Sunday, April 30th, CASA partnered with over 30 churches all over Bexar County to pray for the victims of child abuse and neglect, their Advocates, and caregivers who support them every day. Our CASA Volunteers and staff not only dedicate their time to children that need it most, but went the extra mile to raise awareness and support for the foster children right here in our community.

Blue Sunday, the international day of prayer that started in 1994 and it closes out Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month along with churches around the world to give a quick, one minute prayer during services for foster children and orphans.

Thanks to City Church Bandera Road, CBC, CBC-Bulverde, Christ the King Lutheran, Compass Church, Crossbridge Church, Gateway Church, Gateway Fellowship Church, Gathering MidTown, Holy Trinity Church, Laurel Heights United Methodist, Omega Church, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Helotes, Resurrection Baptist Church, Rock Point, San Juan de los Lagos Parish and Shrine, South Side Church of God, St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Jeromes China Grove, St. Joseph South San Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul, Summit Christian Center, United Methodist, University United Methodist Church, Wayside Chapel, West Campus Baptist Church, and Zion Lutheran Church for partnering with us. Without these dedicated churches, we truly could not serve our mission to the fullest and make a positive impact for the children that need it most.

We look forward to next Blue Sunday and getting even more of our community to participate!
