Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) Recognized as 2016 Small Business Leaders Award Recipient

Community members gathered Wednesday evening to celebrate the North San Antonio Chamber’sEvening of Stars,” an event commemorating small business leaders throughout the city. Eleven professionals were selected to be honored, based on their innovation and service to their organizations.

Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) and Vice President of Development, Elisabeth Reise, were recognized as a non-profit leader in the field. Elisabeth is a talented part of CASA’s dynamic team, which works daily to ensure that our community volunteers have the support they need to be the best Advocates possible to the abused and neglected children in our community

Reise was in good company on the stage and in the crowd, surrounded by many CASA supporters and Gallery of Hope Gala sponsors, like Frost Bank. Gallery sponsor RSM also sponsored the non-profit sector award, which we proudly received. Wade Cleary of Cleary Zimmermann, a 2016 Gala sponsor, received an award for his dedication to Employee Relations.

The mission of CASA is to recruit, train, and supervise court-appointed volunteer Advocates who provide constancy for abused and neglected children and youth while advocating for services and placement in safe and permanent homes. As a non-profit, every opportunity to be spotlighted in the community brings awareness to our cause and moves us one step closer to achieving our goals.

More information on the other award recipients can be found on the Rivard Report here.

Thank you to everyone who made the event possible and supports our work in the community. We couldn’t do it without you!
