Gallery of Hope Highlights

We are excited to announce the 2016 Annual Gallery of Hope Gala will be held at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on November 10, 2016 from 6:30-9 pm. The Gallery of Hope Gala brings together the champions of our cause―in a vibrant place awash with beautiful sound and enthralling imagery―showcasing our community impact.

The evening will include the inaugural showing of the 2017 Gallery of Hope exhibit, entertainment, a live and silent auction, as well as heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The Gallery of Hope exhibit is a visual narrative of the hope and healing CASA provides abused and neglected children. Through this collection of photos, we illustrate the intimate relationship that is built between the CASA Advocate and child, demonstrating how each child’s life has changed from a situation of fear and danger to a life of hope and happiness. The intent for this project is to create awareness and educate others on the significant and impact a CASA Advocate has on the life of a child. The Gallery of Hope exhibit helps CASA better illustrate the vital work that Advocates are doing on behalf of the children of Bexar County. Our hope is to inspire our community to come together and put an end to the epidemic of child abuse.

Along with the inspiring photos and accompanying stories, the evening will include a live performance by Aerial Horizon. These talented aerialists have worked with Cirque du Soleil, Sea World, Aerial Dance Chicago, Nimble Arts, Cirque Imagination, and many other prestigious companies and will be sure to amaze you in the stunning arena at the Tobin Center.

In addition to delicious hors d’oeuvres and an open bar with specialty cocktails, Claudia B. Chocolates will provide handmade, artisan chocolates for you to nibble on as you enjoy our live auction.  We are offering a variety of exciting live auction packages for you to bid on, all while you are entertained by our auctioneer, David Bisett. David has long been a part of the Wimberley Players, Inc., and currently serves as the President of their Board of Directors. The Players have been providing exceptional theater for 37 years and strive every year to be more meaningful to their community. David’s quick tongue and fast wit will be joined by Byron Velvick. Byron is a professional angler who is a two-time winner of the Bass U.S. Open, current BASS record holder, and was the Bachelor on season 6 of ABC’s The Bachelor.

Tickets are available for purchase for this fun way to give back to your community and improve the lives of abused and neglected children in Bexar County.

A huge thanks to our sponsors who make the event possible. If you’d like to join them in supporting the children of CASA, click here to learn more.
