Join CASA for #GivingTuesday!

CASA is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and after the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year #GivingTuesday will be held on December 1st and it helps kick-off the holiday giving season by inspiring people in collaborating to improve their local community.

CASA is participating in #GivingTuesday by sharing three unique stories where we have had profound impacts on a child’s life.  We hope this year’s #GivingTuesday will help to spread awareness for what we do and how CASA serves abused and neglected children of San Antonio and Bexar County by providing them community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of the child and provide constancy during their stay in the foster system. Throughout #GivingTuesday, you will be able to partake in the journey with Advocates Noelle Manasco, Anysha Ticer, and Tom Nolan to experience not only the powerful impact they had on the lives of their CASA children, but also experience reasons to give to further our cause.

Noelle was a constant for Kimberly, Emeila, and Eli and ensured their medical needs were met. She played a crucial role in finding their grandmother who was able to provide the children with a safe and loving home. Anysha was there for Gia, Gavin, and Bryce when their mother passed away and their father was incarcerated. Because of her, the children were placed with their loving grandmother for a safe ad permanent home. And Advocates like Tom helped Iris, Isabella, and Illiana to cope with systematic abuse at the hands of their step-mother. He established an excellent relationship with the girls so that he could empower them and raise their self-confidence and self-worth.

These stories are just scratching the surface of the impacts we make, so mark December 1st in your calendars and stay tuned to learn more about these three inspiring Advocates.  Please consider donating to CASA for #giving Tuesday to help us serve more children in Bexar County as well as express an appreciation for all of our dedicated volunteers who give so much.
