Texas Day at The Capitol

The CASA Day at the Capitol is a biannual event held by Texas CASA. The day consisted of seeing the passage of House Resolution 40 to celebrate the many works of CASA and meet with all of our local State Legislators with our Advocates and staff to discuss important issues about the abused and neglected children in San Antonio and Bexar County.

Twenty CASA San Antonio staff members and Advocates took part in the 2015 CASA Day at the Capitol to help make our presence bigger and better than ever! Hundreds of Advocates, staff, and volunteers from all over the State made appointments with their legislators to spread the word about CASA and how their vote will positively impact the children they serve.

Attendees shared their personal stories and testimonies to convey how they have been able to make a difference in a child’s life and detailed the importance of continued funding to support of all the hard work we do for our community.

We thank all the Legislators for meeting with all of us in our State’s capitol and can’t wait to spread the word again in two years!
