Thank you, San Antonio Aquarium!

On Monday, January 25th, the San Antonio Aquarium hosted a personalized tour of all the wild sea creatures for our CASA kids! The San Antonio Aquarium generously donated an Advocate Experience for our volunteers to share and connect with the children they serve.

Our Advocates had very enthusiastic tour guides who helped the children learn about the importance of caring for the ocean and sea life. The Aquarium gave each child some food pellets and little sardines to feed the marine life at stops along the tour. There were jelly fish, creepy eels, and sea stars spread around the Aquarium for the kids to visit and learn about. We were even able to hang out with some beautiful octopi, pet some stingrays, and had a special visit from a 50 year old turtle wandering around the Aquarium!

We all left with so many great memories, and one Advocate was quoted as saying “my family had so much fun!” We appreciate the support of the San Antonio Aquarium for helping us further our mission of serving the abused and neglected foster children of San Antonio and Bexar County.  Don’t forget that the San Antonio Aquarium offers free admission to all foster children!  We are grateful for their heart for our children.

Keep an eye out for our next Advocate Experience coming up this February!

Thank you, San Antonio Aquarium!
