CEO Events

Child Advocates San Antonio’s newly appointed CEO, Rick Cooke, met with various Advocates, donors board members and community partners to personally introduce himself and his vision for the future of CASA. These focused events were held in order to open a shared dialogue regarding CASA’s successes and opportunities for growth. Attendees were offered the opportunity to ask questions and speak openly about future plans to expand our much needed services in Bexar County.

We appreciate everyone who attended to meet with Rick and experience the newly found hope he naturally brings along with his presence and experience to CASA.

Birdies for Charity

Interested in golf and giving back to CASA children? Birdies for Charity is right up your fairway!

Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program designed to give participating non-profit organizations the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. Birdies for Charity is a no-cost program that gives 100% of the funds raised back to the participating organization. Funds are generated by soliciting pledges from individuals and corporations.

We invite you to support CASA through Birdies for Charity. Your donation not only assists our agency but also helps promote the Valero Texas Open and all of the charitable giving they do within our community.

Speaker’s Bureau

The CASA Speaker's Bureau is made up of Advocates who share their stories of volunteering with others in the community.  This is a great opportunity to present at events throughout the year and continue giving back to our organization.  You are invited to participate in a brownbag session where you will learn tips on crafting your story to ensure it is informative, insightful and inspirational.  Our next Speaker’s Bureau training will be held at CASA on April 17, 2013 from 6-7:30 pm.  This session will be facilitated by Laura Vaccaro, Executive Director Learning, Education and Development at Valero Energy Corporation.  She also works annually with the United Way to ensure their speakers are as knowledgeable and professional as possible.   Please contact Christina Higgs at chiggs@casa-satx.org if you are interested in participating.
