Birdies for Charity Birdies for Charity

Interested in golf and giving back to CASA children? Birdies for Charity is right up your fairway!

Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program designed to give participating non-profit organizations the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. Birdies for Charity is a no-cost program that gives 100% of the funds raised back to the participating organization. Funds are generated by soliciting pledges from individuals and corporations.

We invite you to support CASA through Birdies for Charity. Your donation not only assists our agency but also helps promote the Valero Texas Open and all of the charitable giving they do within our community.

Art & Soul – National Charity League (NCL) Art & Soul

On January 12, CASA held an Art & Soul event in coordination with the National Charity League (NCL).   The project provided several mother/daughter teams the opportunity to share in a morning of doing art with a few CASA children and their Advocates. Some truly special pieces and some wonderful memories were created by the group.

To learn more about participating in an upcoming Art & Soul event, please contact Tara Barisic at tbarisic@casa-satx.org or Allison Martinez at amartinez@casa-satx.org.

Tour of Champions & Road Show Tours

CASA's Tour of Champions is an informative session during which CASA volunteers share their stories of advocacy. Throughout the past few months, we have made some exciting changes to the format, speakers, and informational pieces, including a presentation by CASA’s newly appointed CEO, Rick Cooke. Please join us February 28 from 1-2pm at the CASA office to see what’s new.

Also be sure to inquire about CASA’s Road Show Tours. These events are condensed versions of the Tour of Champions that can be held at a business, church, civic or professional organization, or private residence. This initiative helps to spread the word about CASA and the work we are doing in our community.

"When Advocates Valerie Perrenot, Sue Spence and I agreed to host a Road Show Tour, we had no idea the impact it would have!  Many guests had heard of CASA, but didn't really know about our actual work. Opening one's home to share the important work of CASA is just one more way to introduce friends and neighbors to the needs of abused and neglected children."  Jan McVicker, CASA Advocate

Contact Tara Barisic at tbarisic@casa-satx.org or Christina Higgs at chiggs@casa-satx.org to RSVP to the next Tour of Champions or to inquiry about the possibility of hosting your very own Road Show Tour.
