Growing and Giving

Abby’s Closet

Abby's Closet is a community-led CASA initiative that benefits our teen girls. We have organized a formal/semi-formal dress wear and accessories drive. The results of our efforts will then culminate in our 3rd annual event on March 1st, 2014. Each CASA teen girl is strategically identified to enjoy a day of fashion and glamour.

If you or anyone you know is interested in donating dresses, accessories, or goodie bag items (new makeup samples, new nailpolish, etc), to Abby’s Closet please contact Casey Gillespie at cgillespie@casa-satx.org or Carey Jansen at cjansen@casa-satx.org or at 210.225.7070.

*Please note:  Only new or dry-cleaned dresses can be accepted. Thank you.

Birdies for Charity!

Birdies for Charity

Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program designed to give participating non-profit organizations the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. Birdies for Charity is a no-cost program that gives 100% of the funds raised back to the participating organization. Funds are generated by soliciting pledges from individuals and corporations.

Birdies for Charity are similar to a walk-a-thon, but rather than donating per mile, participants make a pledge for every birdie made at the Valero Texas Open. The 2013 Valero Texas Open had 1,640 birdies made, so a pledge of $0.01 yielded a donation of $16.40.

Donors also have the ability to make a one-time donation and flexibility to pay in advance or be billed after the tournament. Donations are accepted from anywhere around the world and are tax deductible.

We invite you to support CASA through Birdies for Charity. Your donation not only supports CASA but also The Valero Texas Open and all of the charitable giving they have made throughout the years.
