Breakfast of Champions

CASA hosted its 7th Annual Breakfast of Champions on April 15th at the San Antonio Country Club.

With the support of our community, we are able to recruit, train and supervise even more Advocates to serve the abused and neglect in San Antonio with one of our most successful Breakfasts yet! We had a great turnout and the crowd was truly moved by our guest speaker, Gloria. She is one of our former CASA children and her story made such a difference in those that attended. We truly appreciate all of those attended and their support and look forward to next year’s Breakfast of Champions!

If you would like to know more about the Breakfast of Champions and how you can get involved, please contact Forrest Miller at for more information!

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

On April 29th CASA hosted the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at the Frost Bank Plaza Club.
The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon is our annual awards ceremony where we honor all of the hard work of our Advocates. This year we were truly honored to recognized Advocates of the Year, Gretchen Goodson, and Rookie of the Year, Brett Stinson, for the dedication to the children we serve! We truly appreciation their support of our mission, and without it we could not make a difference in a child’s life.
We can’t wait for next year’s Appreciation Luncheon!

The Yale Club of San Antonio

Our Board Member, Dr. Monika Dalrymple, helped organize one of our CASA Art & Souls by bringing some amazing former students from Yale to volunteer with our children.

They created some beautiful artwork based on Vincent Van Gogh with our CASA children and Advocates.  The volunteers had such a positive, visible impact on our CASA children and many of the volunteers left saying, “This was one of the rewarding experiences they have ever had!”

If you would like to host an Art and Soul, please contact Forrest Miller at for more information.

Big Give San Antonio

For the second year in a row The Big Give SA surpassed its’ goal and raised over $4,000,000 for local nonprofits. Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) participated in the 24-hour online giving event, and thanks to our supporters we raised over $18,000, receiving donations from more than 200 individuals from around the country. All donations will help CASA reach our goal of providing an Advocate for every abused and neglected child in Bexar County by the year 2020
