Advocacy Tip: Engaging Families

Whether your CASA children are in Temporary Managing Conservatorship (TMC) or Permanent Managing Conservatorship (PMC) care, there is an urgency to secure permanency to prevent any further trauma stemming from having little or no attachment to their caregivers. Engaging families that are in the foster care system on the path to permanency is essential to obtain successful reunification with parents, and to support the family unit by sustaining relative connections. This is a key part of our mission to advocate that our foster children are placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.
