AMEP Fashion Show for CASA

On May 4th, AMEP hosted a fashion show to benefit CASA at the Shriner Auditorium.  AMEP, Asociación de Mujeres Empresarias y Profesionales, or the Business and Professional Women’s Association in English, operates in Spanish only. The association is aimed at Spanish-speaking Latinas, especially those for whom Spanish is their first language.

Members of our community hit the runway to support providing an Advocate to every case of child abuse/neglect that needs one. AMEP is an association that brings together female entrepreneurs, professionals and executives in the United States and the world.  “We want to capture and support the Spanish-speaking women, those for whom English is not as good as locals,” Irene Keegan has been quoted as saying. They or their family roots can be from any Latin nation, not just Mexico, she explained.

We can’t thank them enough for their support! Because of AMEP, we’ll be able to serve more abused/neglected children of San Antonio and Bexar County.
