CASA Celebrates Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month is a worldwide celebration for all of the contributions have made throughout history. Here at CASA, women all over San Antonio make lasting impacts on the abused and neglected children and create a legacy of change for them. If it weren’t for our amazing Advocates, many of these children would be left alone and afraid in a very overwhelming system.

CASA was founded by the National Council of Jewish Women in 1984, and it is because of their advocacy and passion that we are able to pursue our goal of helping 2,050 abused and neglected children in 2016. More and more women of our diverse city are taking up CASA’s historic mission to make a difference in a child’s life and be their constant support system when no one else will.

One example of the great impacts women of CASA make is an advocate who we featured in our blog recently, Beth Pisano. Beth has been with CASA for three years and specifically likes working on cases with larger sibling groups and event takes multiple cases on at one time! She was crucial in helping these children attain their happy ending.

We encourage you to take this month as an opportunity to become a leader as an Advocate and support CASA - choose this Women’s History Month as the time to get involved and make a difference. What victories will you celebrate? What goals will you work toward?
