United Way Volunteer of the Year Awards

United Way Volunteer of the Year Awards

On June 20, 2013, four of our volunteers were recognized at the 24'th Annual United Way Volunteer of the Year Awards dinner as nominees for the work they do as Court Appointed Special Advocates.

CASA Advocate, LeQuinne Ferebee, was a nominee in the category of Individual Service.

CASA Advocate, Jacqueline Priessman, was also a nominee in this same category.  Nominated along with more than 20 other individuals who have contributed service hours to numerous non-profit organizations throughout San Antonio, Jacqueline walked away with the award.

Also nominated in the category of Community Service were CASA Advocates, Craig and Carolyn Cook.  The Cooks, who last April were awarded "Volunteers of the Year" by our own agency, were also victorious as the winners of the Community Service award.  Because they were recently deployed and unable to attend the United Way dinner, CASA staff member, Elisabeth Reise, accepted the award for them.

Congratulations to all!  We are grateful for your dedication and diligent efforts on behalf of the children in our community.
