Valero Texas Open - Birdies for Charity

With all the growth and new opportunities, it’s important to remember exactly why the Valero Texas Open hosts their event each year: to give something back to our community.

In fact, the Valero Texas Open and Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children have given more than $76M to nonprofits, such as CASA, since it began. Their commitment to giving back to the community is what drives them to make each year’s tournament so successful. Because the truth is that beyond the tournament play, beyond the fun and excitement of the event, they know that the real winners are the charities they are proudly able to help each year.

Of course, the impact of the tournament transcends dollar amounts and donations. Each year, the event also creates tremendous awareness and goodwill towards the charities this event supports.

Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) is not only grateful for the support of the Valero Texas Open, but to Valero Energy Corporation for all that they continue to contribute to our agency. This year alone, Valero has given a total of $40,000 to aid in our mission of serving the abused and neglected children of Bexar County.
