Become a Light of Hope

Help us reach our ultimate goal of serving 100% of foster youth in need this holiday season!

From tantrums to THRIVING!

When CASA Advocate Cynthia received a call about nine siblings spread across four foster placements, she knew it would take extraordinary care to keep them connected. Her assignment was the three youngest—Valentino, just one year old, and infant twins Ariel and Aurora. Each child faced unique challenges: Valentino struggled with severe mood swings, while the twins were facing challenges of premature births and pre-birth drug exposure.

Cynthia dedicated her time and heart to ensure these children felt safe and loved. She also worked tirelessly to maintain their bond with their six older siblings through monthly visits and shared celebrations.

Though the siblings could not return home together, Ariel, Aurora, and Valentino were eventually adopted into a loving family.

On adoption day, all six older siblings came to celebrate, bringing a keepsake of photos to preserve their connection. Today, the nine siblings live in three caring homes—still united by love, thanks to CASA Advocate Cynthia, her CASA Advocate Supervisor, and your support.

This holiday season, you can make stories like this possible. Your gift to Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) ensures that children in foster care have an advocate by their side during life’s hardest moments. Your support provides comfort, stability, and hope when children need it most.

Together, we can make sure no child faces these challenges alone. Together, we can make a difference.

It is what fuels my passion to continue as a CASA Advocate.

As a CASA since 2010, I have experienced at least one moment in each of my cases of “Why” - a deeply profound sense of understanding why I was meant to be an advocate for this child…these children…this family…. this case, at this time.

This time, my why moment was the forming of community, the building of connection, the knowing that because the sibling visits were so center to this case and supported by CASA Advocates, these children in their newly formed forever families would continue to have their relationships nurtured over the course of their lives.

Will you help me and other CASA Advocates make a difference for even more children?
