Johnathan Cobb
John took a case with teen boys and hit the ground running. He has quickly become someone they can rely on. These children call him almost daily to check in on him and to share how their day was. He advocates fiercely for them in and outside of court.
These boys are truly lucky to have someone like John on their side.
1. How long have you been an Advocate and when did you realize you wanted to become one?
“I was sworn in November 24th of last year and took my first case at the beginning of December.”
2. What is the most rewarding aspect of being an advocate?
“The most rewarding part of being an advocate is seeing yourself make a difference in a child’s life and knowing you’re the one constant they can rely on.”
3. If you could offer some words of encouragement to your fellow and incoming Advocates, what would they be?
“You can do this! The most important and easiest part of being a CASA is just being present. Don’t sweat the requirements, deadlines, and expectations you have help along the way.”
