Become a CASA Volunteer
Become the familiar and trusted presence for children who have been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. Becoming a CASA Volunteer means making sure children in the foster system are having their medical, educational, and overall needs met while they are searching for a safe and permanent home. It means giving them a safe environment to heal and listening when non one else has. It means they don't need to go through this alone.
Commitment:
- Minimum 12 month commitment
- Complete new volunteer training (View Upcoming Training Dates)
- Visit child(ren) once per month (An average of 15 hrs time commitment per month)
- Maintain confidentiality
Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a valid Texas drivers license
- Have access to a vehicle and proof of insurance
- Complete criminal and CPS background checks
- No previous experience or education required. All training and support provided.
