June Advocate Spotlight
Mark Jackson
1. How long have you been an Advocate and when did you realize you wanted to become one?
“I have been an advocate for almost nine years now. I saw an ad in the newspaper and decided to check it out. So glad I did.”
2. What is the most rewarding aspect of being an advocate?
“For this CASA, the rewards are immeasurable. The lessons I learn from the children and the experiences we share make it all worth it.”
3. If you could offer some words of encouragement to your fellow and incoming Advocates, what would they be?
“You are appointed by the Judge, so get to know your case. Don't be deterred by setbacks; just work through them. And know that you can always count on your supervisor's vast experience to keep you headed in the right direction.”
